Miami Serenade: Unveiling Shakira’s £12M Mansion, the Melodic Retreat Where She Found Solace After Leaving Barcelona

The renowned vocalist behind “Hips Don’t Lie” has possessed the expansive six-bedroom residence spanning 8,708 square feet since 2001, when she undertook a comprehensive renovation project.

She imported hardwood floors from Spain, procured a new European front door, and had custom furniture crafted and brought in.

Reportedly according to Marca, as Shakira commences her new life in Florida, she will be returning to this abode.

Within the remarkable gated estate, there lies an exquisite heated swimming pool and an outdoor kitchen enveloped by palm trees, offering captivating vistas of the bay.

This property, formerly shared with Pique, even boasts its personal private dock for a boat.

Featuring a lavish white minimalist interior, it encompasses an expansive living room furnished with glass coffee tables and an immense white sofa accompanied by matching chairs.

The dining area exhibits a rug beneath the table and chairs, seemingly an homage to Shakira’s Lebanese heritage.

Among the seven bathrooms, one showcases dual sinks and an oversized bathtub, while the kitchen provides a practical area for cooking and hosting, all while overlooking the garden.

Shakira showcases her pop awards in the office section, and there exists an entire “entertainment wing” at the rear of the house.

This section encompasses a compact home cinema, an all-white billiards table, and a hооkah lounge furnished with sofas and generous windows.

Constructed in 1951, it’s reported that Shakira acquired this residence in 2001 for €2.5 million and put it on the market for €9.4M in 2018.

However, the listing was withdrawn in August 2021, implying that Shakira, who has family and close friends in Miami, has returned to this residence with her two sons after departing from Barcelona.

Situated just minutes away from the famed Venetian Islands and Indian Creek, Zillow approximates the residence’s value at $19.6M.

This development follows images of Shakira bidding an emotional farewell to her life in Spain as she departed for the United States with her children.

In a heartfelt Twitter post, she expressed, “I settled in Barcelona to provide my children stability, which we are now seeking in another corner of the world, alongside family, friends, and the sea. Today, we embark on a new chapter in pursuit of our happiness.”

The singer was initially set to relocate with her two sons, Milan (10) and Sasha (7), on January 3, but the trip was delayed due to her elderly father’s declining health.

This announcement coincided with reports that her ex-partner, Pique, a footballer, was considerably displeased after receiving just a “few days’ notice” about the significant move.

As relayed by journalists Lorena Vasquez and Laura Fa, Shakira’s lawyer, Pilar Mane, informed Pique’s attorney of the singer’s departure, and subsequently, Shakira personally called the former Barcelona player to confirm the news.

Pique was purportedly infuriated by the lack of information regarding the exact departure date.

These Spanish journalists further contend that the two boys would commence their schooling in Florida on April 11, coinciding with the return of U.S. school children to classes after the spring break.

Since their highly publicized separation last summer, Shakira and Pique have experienced a strained relationship.

Pique, a former Barcelona defender, revealed his involvement with 24-year-old Clara Chia Marti shortly after their breakup was announced.

Since then, their personal issues have been widely discussed, including rumors of infidelity involving Pique and his younger partner.

In November, Shakira and Pique confirmed that they had finally settled on a child custody arrangement after a lengthy negotiation, culminating in a marathon 12-hour meeting with their respective legal representatives.

The agreement was formalized at a court in Barcelona the following month.

As part of the arrangement, retired footballer Pique would spend designated holiday time with their children.
