Do you remember the tacky, pimped-out McMansions that were a recurring feature on the critically acclaimed MTV series Cribs?

The house in which mega-recording artist Aubrey Drake Graham lives in Toronto is in a league of its own.

An indoor basketball court that is the size required by the NBA and is topped by a 21-square-foot pyramidal skylight are just two of the luxurious features that can be found in Drake’s incredible mansion, which has a total area of 50,000 square feet and measures in at a total of 50,000 square feet.

The majestic Drake Manor, as envisioned by Canadian architectural and interior designer Ferris Rafauli, is a marvel of old-world craftsmanship that is constructed of limestone, bronze, exotic woods, and other high-quality materials.

The expansive property has had painstaking attention paid to the conception and execution of each and every aspect. In addition, there is no sign of a Scarface poster anywhere in the vicinity.

Because I was going to be constructing it in my hometown, I need to make sure that the building would be sturdy for a hundred years.

Drake states that he need his passion project to have “a monumental scale and feel,” and he accomplished that goal. “It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong,” he says further.

The residence, was designed with historic Beaux Arts architecture as its inspiration. However, the style was condensed and slightly abstracted in order to give the old idiom a more modern flavor.

“The edifice is an accurate representation of a limestone mansion from the 19th century in terms of its form, materials, and craftsmanship.

But the outside profiles are more simple, and the lines are a little bit cleaner,” adds Rafauli, who is the president of his own namesake luxury design and build firm that is based in Ontario.

“This isn’t stucco, paint, or fake gold,” the man said. That was not what Drake envisioned, and it is not something that I engage in.
