Taylor Lautner sold his semi-remote Agoura Hills contemporary property for $1.5 mιllιon after two years. The “Twilight” star spent $3.9 mιllιon on a hacienda-style compound in a gated community near his former house.
Lautner’s new Agoura Hills home sits on an acre-plus of fruit trees, perennials, and drought-tolerant flowers. The stucco and terracotta-roofed house was erected in the early 1990s and “remodeled to perfection,” according to the ad.
Six bedrooms, seven baths, soaring ceilings, mosaic tiling, intricate wrought-iron detailing, and vintage light fixtures fill approximately 7,000 square feet of rustic yet exquisite living space. Large glass doors and windows overlook the lovely grounds, creating an indoor-outdoor lifestyle.
A double wood front entrance with mosaic-lined brick steps enters onto a large lobby with a vaulted ceiling and a winding staircase. From there, a double-height living room with a fireplace and temperature-controlled, 750-bottle wine room leads to a formal dining room with French doors to covered outdoor eating and party areas.
A contemporary gourmet kitchen with an eat-in island, Viking and Sub-Zero appliances, and a breakfast nook opens to a lovely fireplace family room and backyard. A wood-clad office, ensuite bedroom, and laundry room with dual washers and dryers are on the main level.
A wood-beam ceiling, fireplace, Juliette balcony, and two dressing wings grace the upstairs master hideaway. This level has four ensuite bedrooms and a marble bath with heated floors, two vanities, a clawfoot soaking tub, and a steam shower.
The vast resort-style grounds have a pool and spa, an event pavilion with a Viking barbeque and wine cooler, a greenhouse, and several quiet spaces. Several ancillary structures include a billiard table and wet bar.
Lautner owns a 10-acre residence in Castaic, 40 miles northwest of L.A., that he bought for $2 mιllιon a decade ago. Jordan Cohen of Re/Max One represented Lautner, while Cris Epstein of Engel & Voelkers, Westlake Village listed the property.
