Steve Harvey and his wife, Marjorie, have made a noteworthy real estate move by purchasing Tyler Perry’s former Atlanta residence. The luxurious Buckhead mansion, which recently sold for a staggering $15 miℓℓiо𝚗, will now be called home by the legendary comedian/host and his wife.
A source close to Tyler Perry shared with TMZ, “Tyler has a lot of great memories from the house and is happy his friends Steve and Marjorie will be calling it home.”
Situated on a gated estate spanning 17 acres, the mansion boasts an impressive 35,000 square feet of living space. With seven bedrooms, the residence is adorned with extravagant features, including an underground ballroom, a sprawling infinity pool complete with a bar, a well-lit tennis court, a gym, a spa, a theater, an indoor resistance pool, a wine cellar, and even a guest house.
But that’s not all—this remarkable property even includes a runway specially designed for remote control airplanes, adding an extra touch of excitement and entertainment.
Tyler Perry initially acquired this expansive property in 2007 for $9 miℓℓiо𝚗 and invested miℓℓiо𝚗s more in renovations to create his dream estate. He eventually sold it to evangelist and entrepreneur David Turner in 2016 for $17.5 miℓℓiо𝚗.
It’s worth noting that Tyler Perry’s homes have become highly sought-after among celebrities. Currently, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are residing in Tyler’s Los Angeles mansion while they search for a permanent residence of their own.
Meanwhile, Tyler Perry himself is involved in an incredible project. His massive studio in Atlanta has resumed operations, serving as the filming location for several of his shows. To ensure the safety of the cast and crew, everyone undergoes testing before entering the facility and is quarantined for 2.5 weeks while filming the season’s episodes.
