Just under four years ago, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., better known by his stage name Lil Wayne, paid $16.8 million for this brand-new estate on Miami Beach’s exclusive guard-gated Allison Island, which has a direct view of Biscayne Bay. The Wall Street Journal reports that the 40-year-old lyricist of “Lollipop” is relisting the modern house for an astounding $29.5 million.
The commercial-grade elevator, the wine cellar, the opulent movie theater with suede walls, staff quarters with a butler’s kitchen, and more are all included in this notably higher price. There’s also 110 feet of waterfront and a dock.
Lil Wayne’s contemporary luxury is hidden behind a security gate and was constructed in 2017 on a half-acre-plus gated land by Miami developer Laurent Harari and famous local architect Ralph Choeff. The seven-bedroom, eleven-bathroom residence has soaring ceilings, walls of glass, and integrated indoor-outdoor surroundings. A walkway winds through a reflecting pool.
The large great room features a lacquered fireplace, sliding glass doors that open to the backyard, and a 22-foot ceiling. Custom mahogany doorway leads to this space. The eat-in culinary kitchen with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, bespoke Italian cabinetry, and entrance to a courtyard is located around the corner from the family area, which is next to the dining room.
Upstairs, a sculptural floating staircase leads to the luxurious master suite, which is 2,500 square feet in size and features a sitting area, an expansive private terrace, a walk-in closet, and dual baths with all the anticipated luxuries. Outdoors, the tropically-inspired grounds feature a large pool flanked by an open-air pavilion with its own kitchen and bathroom, as well as a number of areas ideal for lounging and entertaining al fresco.
Cyril Matz of Douglas Elliman has listed the Miami property. Lil Wayne has relocated to his $15.4 million mansion in Hidden Hills, California, which he purchased last year.
